Cherry Class have been learning about Rembrance Day and thinking about all the fallen soldiers. We have made Poppies and dicusssed and their significance. In child initiated learning some of the children made cards, painted pictures and designed their own medals.
Cherry Class have been learning about healthy eating and were challenged to create a healthy and unhealthy packed lunch! We also looked at our favourite fruits and vegetables and made a graph to show our results. Miss Kennett has challenged the children to try a different fruit or vegetable this week!
Cherry Class were very excited to get a visit from Hemel Hempstead Fire Service to kick start their learning on The Great Fire of London. The Fire Fighters talked to the children about fire safety and explained the role of a fire fighter. We also got to go in the Fire Engine and learn about all the different equipment on a Fire Engine. Fire Fighter Emma even squirted us with water! What a great morning.
Reception have been having lots of fun investigating capacity. Their challenge was to work out what cup Mrs Baria would need to use if she was really thirsty!
This is a great interactive guide to support you to keep your children safe online by activating parent controls on all your devices at home.
Thank you to everyone that donated cakes for our coffee morning and of course to everyone who attended and donated to this great cause. There a plenty of cakes left for an after school cake sale to continue to raise money for Macmillan.
A big thank you to the school council for running this successful event.
