The children in Pips followed instructions, just like Beebot does in our computing lessons. They then tried to give instructions to their partner to move in different ways.
Beech class have been working extremely hard this week completing their SATs and making digital stories using computers.
First we took pictures of the story using the ipads, then we wrote the stories into word, editing the colours, font and size of the text to make it look more interesting for the reader.
We have been learning how to program Beebot to move forwards, backwards and to turn.
As part of our Morphing Images learning in Computing, we followed in Eadweard Muybridge’s footsteps and animated characters. He created a famous animation called The Horse Sally Gardner In Motion investigating whether a horses hooves left the ground when galloping. We had great fun creating our characters and then animating them. We each had to animate our own character using small movements and then taking photos on an iPad, which we then downloaded. We created Zoetrobes with them, however here is a presentation that Ms. Wright made an example video out of. Two of us teamed up in this one!
Rowan class played a game to understand more about networks.
In Cherry Class we looked at the importance of only leaving kind comments. We created pictures of our favourite things about school. We then left comments on our friends pictures.
Beech class enjoyed making art to show what they love about school then commenting on each others in positive ways. We also made our own digital monsters!
Aspen Class had a busy schedule investigating, discussing, considering and applying solutions to a whole range of online scenarios. Our aim was to investigate how to make the internet a better place for all online participants, as well as enjoying the range of ways that we already interact with each other online.
