Performing into spring!

What a busy but wonderful way to end the spring term!

Our music focus this term has been ‘folk’ and ‘feeling good’ music.

Our children listened to so much new music that really left them feeling happy and ready for learning.

We also had so many performances and musical things to celebrate.

Willow and Aspen did 4 wonderful performances of ‘spring morning’ and EYFS with farmer duck.

The whole school and many visitors watched as children performed in our spring music concert and we ended with a fantastic dance celebration Assembly!

Now we all have a well deserved rest!

Happy Easter everyone!

Bye Bye Farmer Duck!

Pips and Acorns did a fantastic job telling the story of ‘Farmer Duck’ to all our visitors last week. The rest of the Brockswood children thought that the performance was “fantastic and Cute” “funny”  and “reeeeeeally good!”

Sadly we had to say goodbye to this wonderful back drop today to make way for our awards assembly and music assembly coming up this week but remember, Early Years will be performing a song from the show in case you missed out last week!

Rehearsals are under way!

Rehearsals have been getting well under way for the Year 4 production next week. Mrs Turner is getting the children in ship shape and showing them how it is done!

Both performances are next week with Aspen’s on Thursday 15th at 2:30pm and Willow’s on Friday 16th at 2:30pm. Please can we remind the parents that your child will need a plain black top and plain black trousers/leggings. Please no skirts or tights.

We hope to see as many parents as possible next week to support this great production and the hard work of the children and Mrs Turner!

Balance Unity is in the building!

What an amazing morning! It was our pleasure to welcome Hemel Hempstead’s very own Taylor Goodridge (otherwise known as Balance Unity) to speak to the pupils about positive energy. Not only did he talk about the highs and lows of his own journey towards Britain’s Got Talent and beyond, he also showcased some of his dance moves and taught the children a few moves of their own. Thank you Taylor, what an inspiration!
