We enjoyed spending time with Taylor and learning some new moves.
Firstly we had a story read by a parent in Turkish and their child in English. Then the student taught us a game. Next we made flags or did some colouring relating to Turkey. After that, we were lucky to be taught some Turkish belly dancing (which some of us enjoyed and others of us not so much). Finally, we made Hamsa hands, which included the evil eye for protection.
We are so proud of how you have grown as performers: learning all the sequences, lines and when to bring on props and remove them from the stage. No easy task and you did it brilliantly!
We had a great afternoon being inspired by Taylor Goodridge and learning some new moves!
Some of the children who stay for the afternoon have been moving in time to the music. They were being rockets, catherine wheels and sparklers.
With such wonderful art work completed by our children throughout the year we have a new ‘artists of the year’ gallery displayed for visitors to view.
Displaying a selection of art works from all year groups, you will see Roman mosaics, tributes to the Battle of Britain, dragon eyes and more.
Do come and take a look and admire the children’s work.
Also we are so pleased to share some of the amazing pictures taken by our school photographer in our ‘little mermaid’ display. Be sure to take a look at these too!
Happy summer holidays everyone! 🙂
A sneak peak for everyone who will be joining us tomorrow for the opening performance of ‘The Little Mermaid’
Oak and Rowan class have been working so hard to perfect the show whilst the team have been busy creating all kinds of magical things for you to see behind the scenes!
With a brand new lighting rig, some wacky costumes and Programmes brilliantly designed by year 5 and 6 we are so excited for you all to see the last production of the year!
Bring on show day!!!
What a busy but wonderful way to end the spring term!
Our music focus this term has been ‘folk’ and ‘feeling good’ music.
Our children listened to so much new music that really left them feeling happy and ready for learning.
We also had so many performances and musical things to celebrate.
Willow and Aspen did 4 wonderful performances of ‘spring morning’ and EYFS with farmer duck.
The whole school and many visitors watched as children performed in our spring music concert and we ended with a fantastic dance celebration Assembly!
Now we all have a well deserved rest!
Happy Easter everyone!
