Brockswood Shine at the 02

What a fantastic night for Brockswood school last week when our choir sung their hearts out along with over 7000 other children for the ‘YOUNG VOICES 2018’ concert.

Although we were all very tired and it was a really long day, we had such fun singing an array of brilliant music with a live band and special guests at one of the biggest music venues in the country!!

Music in the air!

Over the autumn term we listened to some fantastic and varied music through our seasonal ‘music focus’

Our Christmas music assembly was a great way to end the term and link what we had been listening to, with a wide variety of music performed by classes across the school.

Many people were also delighted to receive the school cd ‘the voices of Brockswood’  featuring many solos and a wonderful cover designed by Arron in Rowan class. There’s still time to order a copy from the office should you wish to.

We can’t wait to hear all the wonderful music in the air this half term.

‘Shepherds Delight’ Nativity Success!

What a wonderful way to kick off all the musical things that happen as we head into Christmas!

‘Shepherds Delight’ was a roaring success. Beech and Cherry class did a fantastic job with some exceptional solos by Mollie as shepherd Sam and Grace and Benjamin as Mary and Joseph.  Our visitors LOVED it and Mrs Turner was very proud.

Now this wonderful backdrop will come down to make room for all the instruments that will fill the stage on Tuesday at our Christmas music assembly 🎶

The West End comes to Brockswood!

Oak and Rowan class completed a fantastic run of performances of ‘Joseph and his amazing technicolour dreamcoat’ this week.  The audiences were full and everyone seemed to enjoy this colourful and upbeat musical.  The children worked very hard to ensure that props costumes, scenery were all where they should be and everyone gave their best to perform, sing to bring their characters to life.  Daniel was an amazing lead as ‘Joseph’ supported by  Sky, Isabel, Alexandra and Sherry as ‘narrators’. Other fantastic performance were given by Emmanuel as ‘pharaoh’ and Michael as ‘Potiphar’.

Everyone worked really hard to bring together a great show and learned a lot about the way a musical runs both on and off stage.
