Our topic this half term is ‘People who help us’. We have been learning about the jobs that Police Officers and Fire Fighters do. We have enjoyed dressing up (most of us anyway) and some of us have arrested the baddies!
We have been busy getting ready for Enterprise week. So far, we have been pricing and buying goods for the stall and understanding what budgets are all about. Today, we went to Sainsbury’s and bought the final goods for our stalls. Additionally, we asked around at local shops for donations as we went over budget. Finally, we have been creating posters and the actual stalls. Photos to follow…
We decorated the class, made cards and 3D snowflakes.
It was a chilly morning and we all had to wrap up warm but we had an amazing walk through the woods and managed to find lots of holly but only a few red berries (we think the birds have eaten the rest).
As part of anti-bullying week, Pips Class have created a Kindness Heart. The children were asked to talk about how they could be kind to their friends who might be feeling sad.
Cherry Class have been learning about Rembrance Day and thinking about all the fallen soldiers. We have made Poppies and dicusssed and their significance. In child initiated learning some of the children made cards, painted pictures and designed their own medals.
This afternoon during outdoor play, Some Pips children decided that the play house needed to be decorated for Christmas! A little early maybe?
We have been look at nutrition and exploring what is in the food we eat.
