With such wonderful art work completed by our children throughout the year we have a new ‘artists of the year’ gallery displayed for visitors to view.
Displaying a selection of art works from all year groups, you will see Roman mosaics, tributes to the Battle of Britain, dragon eyes and more.
Do come and take a look and admire the children’s work.
Also we are so pleased to share some of the amazing pictures taken by our school photographer in our ‘little mermaid’ display. Be sure to take a look at these too!
Happy summer holidays everyone! 🙂
A big thankyou to everyone who attended yesterday’s summer concert. We had so much fun showing everyone our musical performances and singing songs from our ‘eurovision’ and ‘rap’ music focusses this term.
A big well done also goes to all the entries for the school CD cover competition.
We had so many great entries, especially fab were these 2 entries from Cassidy and Ines in Cherry class. Well done girls!
Our main congrats go to our first place winner:
SOLI in Willow
2nd place: Patrik in Willow
3rd place: Niron in Maple
Featuring all the songs from the year plus many more! All funds made will go toward our ever growing array of resources, sound and lighting equipment.
Don’t forget to order your copy on school coms and sing your way through the summer!
In Science we looked at different leaf types, classifying and describing them.
Things are all set up and ready for tomorrow’s concert!
With some ‘help’ from Kameel and Maria the stage, sound system and instruments are ready to go…..although Maria couldn’t resist doing her best Elvis impression to finish off the afternoon.
Tomorrows programme will include items from EYFS, Willow, Aspen, Maple, and a reprise from ‘the little mermaid’
There will also be some special performance by soloists across the school.
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone who will be attending this very popular event.
Our last art project of the year has been to create ‘under the sea’ collages. We looked at how the colours of the sea blend and what shapes and textures are under the water.
We enjoyed making one GIANT class size picture before putting our ideas down individually.
It was such fun, if not a little bit messy!
Beech class loved learning about Poland for International day. THANK YOU to Mrs Kolesnik who came in to read to us and teach us some words and songs. She even made us a delicious Polish cake 🙂
We also really enjoyed creating traditional paper cuttings to sell at the market and raise money for water aid!
We enjoyed meeting lots of new animals in Science week and practising for sports day!
