Following the cold weather, Rowan class have been working tirelessly this week to make scarfs using weaving techniques. We designed our scarfs after looking at examples on the Internet and worked together to bring our designs to life. Following lots of hard work, we found that our scarfs more closely resembled necklaces or friendship bracelets, which would make nice gifts. We definitely tested our resilience skills as well as our problem solving skills. Well done, everybody!
While we were out on an Easter Egg hunt this morning, we had a visitor. He left a chocolate egg for all the children in Pips!!
Willow have been altering the flavour and taste of chocolate in our Design and Technology unit this week. We all wrote down our favourite chocolate and had a vote to choose the final flavours we were going to attempt to make as we know that we couldn’t make 24 different flavoured chocolates. You can see the final vote on the picture below…
We then made our flavour chocolate in the kitchen with a lot of adult support and have left them to cool down into solid chocolate ready for us to try and taste them tomorrow.
Which do you think will be the best?
- Plain milk chocolate
- Milk chocolate orange
- Oreo milk chocolate
- Milk chocolate with marshmallows
- Milk chocolate with M&Ms
- Milk chocolate with millions
Miss Green is very much looking forward to trying the milk chocolate orange and the milk chocolate with marshmallows!
We will update you tomorrow on our findings and results! Stay tuned!
During DT week Beech class have designed and made their own bug hotels! We think bugs will love them, what do you think?
Some of our favourite things tonfo options relax are: playing sevens (strategic game) be helping Mrs Driver change our displays (which is much appreciated due to height challenges)!
Pips children attended our Celebration Awards Assembly today. The children who received awards were very proud.
Pips and Acorns did a fantastic job telling the story of ‘Farmer Duck’ to all our visitors last week. The rest of the Brockswood children thought that the performance was “fantastic and Cute” “funny” and “reeeeeeally good!”
Sadly we had to say goodbye to this wonderful back drop today to make way for our awards assembly and music assembly coming up this week but remember, Early Years will be performing a song from the show in case you missed out last week!
