Vision, values & Ethos
Learning Together, Achieving Together
Our community is committed to working in partnership to realise the potential of all. We aim to be:
An all-inclusive school where all members of the school community have equal access to learning opportunities.
A school with high standards achieved through a purposeful, enriched curriculum that meets the needs of all.
A nurturing environment where all children are well motivated to be the best they can be.
To support this vision, we have the Brockswood School Pledge, written by our children.
I promise I will do my best
To listen, learn and achieve my goals
We are proud to be part of the Brockswood family
This is our school let the rooms be filled with learning
We believe parent partnership is essential to achieving our aims.
Our vision is that the partnership is based on mutual respect.
We acknowledge how important a parent is in a child’s life and therefore wish to establish open communication.
We endeavour to establish clear expectations within our home school agreement to provide a framework of accountability.
This partnership should ensure that all children achieve their full potential.
Underpinning the vision of the school are the following values, which are unique to our school in that they have been developed with our students, their families and our staff in mind, as well as the British Values.
Brockswood is a caring school and we have defined four key values using the acronymn 'CARE'
COOPERATION: ' Learning Together, Achieving Together'. Cooperation is working together in a team, contributing and sharing in a helpful, supportive way.
ACHIEVEMENT: 'Try your best and be resilient'. Achievement is striving to attain your personal goals through being resilient and giving your best effort.
RESPECT: 'Respect each other and our environment'. Respect involves taking responsibility for each other - speaking to and interacting with others in a courteous manner. It is about being honest, reliable and trustworthy.
EMPATHY: 'Treat others with care and compassion'. Empathy means trying to understand other people's views or feelings and being supportive and caring towards them. It also means recognising when your inner chimp is in control (in line with the Chimp Paradox, which we are learning about).
At Brockswood Primary School, we are committed to providing a safe, caring and supportive environment that focuses on the needs and emotional well-being of all students.
